About MySME School

MySME School helps entrepreneurs, SMEs, startups and social enterprises in Nigeria find funding that fits them, understand how ready they are, and prepare honest applications.

How we verify listings

We discover opportunities from many places, but we only publish what we can confirm on the funder's own website. Each listing shows its official link, the application link and the date we last checked it. Amounts appear only as the funder states them; if a funder does not state an amount, we say so. Listings we cannot confirm are marked Unverified and kept out of your matches by default.

Statuses: Open (accepting applications), Upcoming (announced, not yet open), Closed (round ended; prepare for the next), Paused (suspended by the funder), Unverified (not confirmed).

How matching works

Matching is rule-based and explained. We compare your location, applicant type, stage, sector, preferences and stated eligibility signals with each listing, then show why it fits and what you must confirm. A match is guidance, not a decision by the funder.

How the readiness check works

It follows six areas funders commonly assess: problem and solution, market evidence, business model, financial readiness, execution readiness, and impact and growth. You see the evidence you have and the gaps, with priority actions. We do not give a score: a number would need a tested method, and it could never predict whether you will win.

How drafting works

The Application Studio and the Assistant are instructed never to invent traction, revenue, jobs, partners, impact figures, budgets or eligibility. They use only facts you confirm, flag what is missing and mark assumptions for you to check. Every draft is yours to review before you submit.

Spotting scams

Real funders do not charge an application or “processing” fee to consider you, do not ask for your bank PIN or BVN to “release” a grant, and publish their calls on their own websites. If in doubt, open the official link from our listing rather than a link sent to you.
